The Foundation’s first project is to produce a book expected to be released in 2019. Four respected authors are lined-up:

• Roger Hull: Essay on the history of Alden’s life, career, teaching, and his work. Approximately 20,000 words.
•  Robert Ayers: The role of figuration in the work. Essay of approximately 5,000 words.
• Regina Hackett: The Burpee Garden era and related work. Essay of approximately 6,000 to 10,000 words.

The budget for the book is about $120,000. The Foundation is raising funds for it.
